Under its Enviro Reach program, One Earth Foundation has launched a new and exciting initiative - My Nilgiris, My Pride. This initiative reaches out to the thousands of children in the numerous remote panchayat schools of Nilgiris and highlights the natural and cultural wealth and heritage of this region. "We have a lot to be proud of in Nilgiris. Yet few are aware of Nilgiris rich and diverse heritage. We hope to rekindle that pride in young minds.." says Raminder Chowdhary, Managing Trustee of One Earth Foundation.
To launch and commemorate this initiative, the first in a series of posters highlighting the diversity and wealth of Nilgiris was presented to Mr. Nagaraj - Secretary, Coonoor Club and a naturalist and environmentalist at heart.
